| “When is the proper time to bring in seasonal items?” If you wish to stock seasonal items which many customers look for, you need to have the items in your exhibit for sale no later than the date listed below. Seasonal merchandise can be brought in for display a few weeks earlier if you wish, but remember to remove all seasonal items within 15 days after the holiday to keep your space fresh! We hope our suggestions help! If you have any questions, please be sure to ask…there are no “bad” questions! |
| Seven helpful hints to having a successful merchant experience: 1. Exhibits should reflect your taste and personality. Dare to be dramatic by adding pops of color on the shelving or sidewalls with the aid of fabrics. 2. Mood lighting is essential but remember not to over do it by having a bulb that is too bright for the customer’s eyes. A 25-watt bulb is the maximum allowed for anyone to use in a lamp due to fire safety reasons. 3. Keep all of the “like” merchandise displayed together to make shopping for one type of item easier and quicker. 4. Group merchandise of the same colors together for a more theatrical and rich looking display. 5. Stock your booth with clean, quality merchandise. 6. Keep your prices reasonable for the average customer to afford. 7. Have fun with your booth – this is a hobby not a chore! |
